It’s that time of year again – wedding season!  While no one at JLEC was invited to T&T’s wedding at MSG we do want to share some general reminders if you are lucky enough to be getting married this summer.

• Gifts from a lobbyist to a legislative reportable person (even one who is getting married) are subject to the normal prohibitions and reporting guidelines.
• No cash or cash equivalent gifts (e.g., checks or gift cards) from a lobbyist are allowed to a legislative reportable person.
• If you are a lobbyist inviting legislative reportable people to your wedding – remember food/beverages provided at your rehearsal dinner or wedding are subject to normal prohibitions and reporting guidelines.
